Financial Aid
Below you will find more information about how to apply for financial aid to the Trauma and Somatics training program.
We are pleased to offer a variety of financial aid options to those who qualify.
As a part of our mission to create a trauma-informed world, we value accessibility, inclusivity, and diversity when it comes to the students who join Trauma and Somatics.
For each cohort, we offer a handful of 25% and 50% financial aid options, with payment plan options. We also offer limited financial aid for individuals from developing countries. These options are offered on an as-needed basis, as determined by our staff.
Please note the financial aid requirements and criteria listed at the bottom of this page.

details:
Financial aid applications happen on a rolling-enrollment ending 1 week before the start of the next cohort. Cohorts begin in January, May, and September each year. To find the current cohort dates you can navigate to the program page here.
If you are awarded financial aid, you will receive confirmation via email within a week of your submission and you have until Monday before the cohort starts to confirm your place in the upcoming training by making your first payment.
Financial Aid Requirements:
- A Completed Application
- A Professional Letter of Recommendation from a colleague, teacher, or mentor who knows you well outlining why are a good candidate for financial aid
- A few questions for them to answer might be:
- What makes you a good candidate for the program
- How do they see you using the training to benefit for your community?
- Why is the full program rate inaccessible?
- A few questions for them to answer might be:
- 3-Months of Bank Statements (front page only showing cash inflow and outflow)
- Tax Forms (Previous Year)
Criteria for Application:
Because we offer a limited number of financial aid slots for each cohort, there are a few measures we use to select those who receive financial aid. Financial aid is offered in a percentage based valuation with various eligibility brackets:
For citizens of the US and Europe:
- $50,000 annual income or less as a single adult
- $90,000 annual income or less as a family of four
- 10% or less monthly expendable income ratio
- Personal savings/investments of $10,000 or less
- Personal debt of $20k or more
For citizens of other countries with unfavorable exchange rates to USD:
- Percentage of financial aid offered is dependent on currency exchange rate at the time of applying
Please note that when reviewing applications other extenuating circumstances which impact the ability to pay the full program rate are taken into consideration.
