What is somatics?

The body is not simply a machine to analyze or optimize. It’s a soma—a dynamic, living process filled with intelligence and history.

Somatic practices help you:

  • Tune into your body’s signals
  • Rebuild the connection between body, mind, and emotions
  • Foster self-regulation and healing through simple yet profound exercises

To live somatically is to see your body as a guide, not just something to push through or manage. It’s about discovering freedom, ease, and presence in every moment.

"To live somatically is to embrace the body as a guide and partner in the journey of life."— Will Rezin

Will Rezin is a trauma educator and somatic practitioner dedicated to awakening the body’s innate wisdom. As owner of Trauma and Somatics, he guides individuals and practitioners from all over the world on a path of healing, connection, and embodied awareness. Through a blend of somatic practices and trauma-informed insights, Will fosters transformative growth for those seeking a deeper relationship with themselves and others.

Will Rezin’s path to somatics and trauma healing began long before he ever used those words. Raised with an early appreciation for wholeness — where education was as much about the soul as it was about the mind — Will found himself drawn to explore what it truly means to be human, beyond what society teaches us to value. This curiosity would later evolve into a unique approach that combines somatic practices, trauma theory, and early developmental movements with ancient, often forgotten philosophies.

From living in a group home as a teenager to profound psychedelic experiences, or from wandering the States barefoot for a year and a half to working with some of the most influential names in internet marketing, Will has established himself as a highly sought after coach - working with clients at the FBI, NASA, Boeing, National Geographic, and Google, high level behavioral specialists, Fortune 500 brand developers, app developers, Emmy award-winning producers, TED speakers, athletes, actors, Aerospace engineers,  influencers, high-performers, coaches, and entrepreneurs, the list goes on.

A natural synthesizer of ideas, Will sees beyond the labels we assign to healing, guiding others to a place where body, mind, and spirit aren’t separate entities but one interconnected story. His work, while deeply technical and grounded in scientific understanding, feels almost like a remembering. It’s about returning to the aliveness within, not just to heal, but to awaken. Will’s work isn’t about fixing what’s broken; it’s about leading people back to their own wisdom — beyond the fractures and disconnections life imposes. For Will, this is as much a calling as it is a craft, one that he invites others to share through somatic exploration and radical presence.

What makes Will’s approach so distinct isn’t just his knowledge of ancient philosophy, trauma or somatic theory; it’s his ability to see the essential spark within each person he works with and to reflect that back to them as a possibility for greater freedom and connection. At its core, his work is about returning to the wonder and richness of being alive, both for himself and for those he guides on this journey.
