While this program is designed for helping professionals who are actively working with clients, caring humans of any kind are welcome to join.
This training is currently 100% virtual. There will be 10 live classes hosted through Zoom.us (Tuesday's at 3pm ET) and 5+ hours of pre-recorded learning material released bi-weekly. You will also be given additional integration options, including weekly homework, personal journaling, and reading/video resources.
Trauma and Somatics is a live 12-week training program that takes place from January 17th - April 11th, 2025.
Yes! We run three virtual trainings each year, beginning in January, May, and September, If you would like to register early for an upcoming training, please send us an email here.
The investment for the all-inclusive live 3-month training certificate is $3,000 USD when paid in full, or three monthly payments of $1,100 USD. The ten live training classes are held via Zoom on Tuesday's from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm Eastern US (check your local time zone here). The live class dates for the upcoming cohort are: 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/25, 4/1, and 4/8.
Due to the emergent and experiential nature of somatic work, we have included 10 live virtual classes in addition to the 6 self-study modules. These classes will include interactive skills-based learning sessions, live exercise demos, Q+A, supervision, and more.
Live attendance of the interactive classes is highly recommended for you to benefit fully from the course.
We suggest committing at least 4-hours a week to the training to listen to the modules, practice the somatic exercises you will learn, attend/watch the live classes, and do your daily journaling.
This is a group training program, so all contact and support will be within the live classes and the private online community space. However, you will have plenty of opportunities to interact with your teachers and receive personalized support.
Trauma and Somatics is a professional training organization, and, as such, is not focused on personal healing. If you are interested in working with a trauma-trained professional, we recommend visiting the Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner Directory and finding a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner in your local area. If you are interested in working with one of our facilitators, we have a waiting list that you may request to be added to by sending us an email here.
No, while this course is focused primarily on professional development, there is currently no industry-standard trauma-informed certification. We do however take this work seriously and encourage our students to complete the entire program by offering a Certificate of Completion.
CEU's are not available at this time.

For each cohort, we offer a handful of 25% and 50% financial aid, with payment plan options.
We also offer financial aid for individuals from developing countries.

Trauma + Somatics is an 8-week live training that begins September 21, 2020 and ends November 13th.
The investment for the all-inclusive live 8-week program is $2,000 USD when paid in full, or two monthly payments of $1,100 USD. Please note we cannot accommodate for exchange rate differences if you are outside the US.
The eight weekly group calls are held via Zoom on Tuesdays from 3:00pm - 4:30 pm CT (check your time zone compared to Austin, Texas).
The group call dates are: 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10.
Due to the emergent and experiential nature of somatic work, we have included 3 Skills-Based Learning Sessions, 3 interactive Q&A sessions, and 2 integration sessions in addition to the 6 self-study modules.
Live attendance of the group calls is highly recommended to benefit fully from the course. We require a 75% attendance rate (6/8 calls) plus watching the recordings of any missed calls to receive the Certificate of Completion.
